The Christmas Art Programme at The Red Stables will include Family Drop in Workshops with artists Fionnuala Hanahoe and Mary Noonan on 3rd /4th and 10th December. The artists will work with participants to create Christmas tree decorations for The Red Stables Christmas tree and their own Christmas tree. On Sunday 11th and Saturday 17th December, Artist Martina Galvin will facilitate a Family Drop in Workshop making Christmas angels, decorations, stars and writing Santa letters. Artist Sharon Lynch and dramatist Fiona McDonagh will provide two fun filled Christmas themed drama/art workshop; Christmas Butterfly Picnic is for children aged 5 – 8 and Jingle Bell Jumping and Drawing is for children aged 8 – 11.
Both worshops take place on Sunday 11th December. Booking essential.

Artist, Maeve Clancy will create a festive wonderland in the exhibition space with delicate handmade paper cut outs, great for children and adults to explore, join Maeve on Saturday 10th December for a paper cut out demonstration and the chance to make your own.
Join Cllr Jane Horgan-Jones for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony which will take place at 3.30 on Saturday10th December. The Councillor will also unveil a model of the house which was originally part of the Ardilaun Estate in St. Anne’s park, owned by the Guinness family from 1835. The replica model was made and donated to the park by local resident, Michael Mahon. Singers from ‘The Third Day Chorale’ will provide festive music and Christmas Carols. This will be followed by Conor Lamberts Custard Pie Puppet Company’s colourful children’s Christmas puppet show, which embodies the Christmas mood and generates lots of belly laughs and little giggles from the audience. The puppet show is live, interactive and will feature the ever popular Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, ‘Cackeleen’, the silly witch and many more. Mulled wine and mince pies will be available from Tir na nOg Caife for €3.50 and ginger bread biscuits for children for €1.50. There will be ‘Jingle Bell’ horse and carriage rides around the park on Saturday 10th December(€5 per person).
The Red Stables Art, Craft and Food Market will be open from 10am – 5pm every Saturday.
